BIO
Najib Abdi spent his childhood stalking cheetahs, swimming with hippos, and sleeping nestled amongst chimpanzees. At least, that’s how it felt every evening when David Attenborough flickered onto the TV screen in Najib’s cozy Croydon flat. From the urban streets of South London, young Najib would be transported to a Brazilian rainforest or African savannah.
As a child who had emigrated from Somalia he was fascinated by different places and worlds, and the power of storytelling to expand perspectives.
Najib’s interactive picture books stoke curiosity, fuel enthusiasm, and encourage children to learn while playing detective.
